Intolerance
Have you ever thought
About the things we find hard to accept?
Our intolerances, the battles we've fought
Against beliefs, habits, and people we reject.
We cling to our opinions, so firm and strong
Refusing to see the other side
We judge and criticize, thinking we belong
To a group that's right, with nothing to hide, and it my friend is not only intolerance but also hypocrisy.
But what if we took a step back
And tried to understand the other non hypocrite view?
What if we let go of our attack
And saw the world from a different hue?
Our intolerances may stem from fear
Of the unknown, the different, the strange
But if we open our hearts, we'll hear
A symphony of voices, a beautiful exchange.
Let's embrace our differences, our flaws as long it is not hypocritical
And learn to love the things we don't understand
For in the end, we're all just lost
Trying to find our way in this vast land.
So let's break down the walls we've built
And let compassion be our guide
For only then can we truly fulfill
The purpose of our human ride.
